Raja Patel

Raja Patel is Sophos President, Product & Marketing. In this role, he leads the teams responsible for translating innovation and advanced security capabilities into clear, intelligible offerings across the entire customer journey. His organization spans product management, product marketing, user experience, analyst relations, sales enablement, and corporate marketing.

Raja is a seasoned cyber product veteran with over 20 years in product leadership roles. Previously at Sophos, Raja served as Chief Product Officer. Prior to joining Sophos, Raja was Vice President, Security Products at Akamai responsible for strategy and product direction for the Security portfolio. Prior to Akamai, Raja was VP and General Manager of Enterprise Products division at McAfee. He delivered the strategic direction for McAfee’s enterprise product portfolio, which included solutions for endpoint security, security operation and analytics, web security, network security, and cloud security.

Earlier in his career Raja was general manager for the network security business unit, within Intel, and held numerous leadership positions at Cisco across Security and Enterprise Networking. Raja holds a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering with a minor in mathematics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona, and an MBA degree in global management from the University of Phoenix.
